    I’m going to say moonshine.

We have a source of heat. We have the lid fastened down so the only route for vapor to escape is via that fitting on the top. The tubing from that goes into a large pipe also fed by another tube and which is heading down.

The most likely liquid for the other tubing is water. That makes this a condenser and thus the whole thing is a distillation rig.

Ditto that. Moonshine. Those white jugs to the right in the back, either finished product or jugs ready to be used.
Crockpot moonshine. I like it! I thought about doing it on the stove, but this would work better. Not sure how much juice you’d get out of it though, he needs a better steam dome I think.

Well, well,.. someone’s cookin’ off a batch of mash. That’s a pretty cool little still. There’s no thumper and I can’t see if there’s a proofing barrel (probably just a jar in this case), but he’s got all of the other key components.

The tube is a little bit small from the pot to the worm. He really could get more shine from a larger collector at the cap and a bigger transfer tube, but it should work.

I especially like the piece of fire wood used to clamp the lid on the pot. It pays homage to the roots of his down-home project.

Let’s all drink to his ingenuity!

Looks to me as if they made a water heater out of a crock pot!

If it’s for moonshine, color me surprised.

Moonshining stinks (as in smelly) and I can’t imagine anyone would want to do it inside.

Yep, it’s a still. They do Meth these days by having the kids shake empty pop bottles full of the makin’s.
