The plumbing in the pictures doesn’t jive. Two pics show a return line going back to the jug near the top at the side, while other pics shows a return line going up into the bottom of the jug. Also, in the top-left pic you can see the spout of the jug (apparently unused for the machine operation) on the side of the jug where the plumbing is directed, but it isn’t seen on the plumbing side in any of the other shots. It looks like a fun idea, but the plumbing doesn’t make any sense.
Hi, it’s me again. Is it possible that the vertical pipe going up the side (in the top-right & lower-left pics) is actually not penetrating the through the side of the jug – it’s maybe just attached on the outside for support? And, maybe the top-left pic is showing the plumbing before the vertical riser (and spout) is attached? This still doesn’t explain why original spout of the jug can’t be seen in the top-right & lower-left pics, but this configuration would work.
It re-circulates the icy mixture. Breaking up cubes and stuff, while mixing it thoroughly. Down the bottom, into the disposal (which is also a pump here), out the side of the disposal, and back up to the top of the cooler where it starts all over again. Somewhere in the output of the disposal line, is the output for your drink (the high pressure side of the disposal).
Hi George,.. I get how the disposal works. What’s curious was the plumbing. You make the comment that the drink is sent back to the top of the cooler. But that’s not what the pictures show. It shows the drink returning “through the bottom” of the cooler in the top-left and bottom-right pics. This is especially clear in the bottom-right pic which shows a 90 (quarter-bend) fitting discharging drink back into the cooler. I think my 2nd post above captures how he really plumbed it. **When power to the unit is switched-on, the drink is discharged from the disposal into the “T” fitting under the cooler. Some of the drink is returned to the cooler through the bottom via the riser to the 90, and some of the drink goes up the exterior pipe at the front to create a pressure head. When the tap is turned, drink flows under pressure from that head. But in order for there to be a head, the exterior pipe must be sealed at the end – so that it doesn’t return any drink back to the cooler through the side near the top.** This explanation solves the riddle of why there is no hole visible in the side of the cooler in the bottom-right pic. My hat is off to the builder – a very clever item indeed – I can’t wait to build one!

The issue here is not the plumbing – the issue is these are NOT the same units in all the picts – the two close up picts are one build, the two far away picts are another. A quick google search will show you more picts of both builds and a parts list if you want to build your own.
Is it safe to use disposal plumbing for items for consumption?
Why not use disposal plumbing and the disposal itself as long as they are NEW and CLEAN.
