Another believer in ‘locks only keep out honest people’. If I owned a car that was incapable of breaking that lock, I’d want someone to steal it.

Might be to keep kids or a coworker from popping the car out of gear and rolling the car out of the space. We used to mess with a coworker who had a stick shift that way. or maybe his cars parking brake was questionable
