Ok this is just a mess Bubba? Seriously a 4×4 Mustang? I like the trailer hitch that is a nice added bonus…NOT. Some things just don’t work and this just doesn’t work for me.
That could turn out alright. I imagine its on a Bronco II chassis. Wheelbase has to be close…
I once saw a Fiero done real nice sitting on an S10 Blazer chassis. Transfer case shifter was grafted onto the passenger side of the tranny hump/armrest. Looked as close to factory as they could get it inside and out!
Heres a link to what I saw: http://www.rollingviolation.com/showpic.shtml?picloc=othercars&aname=Fiero4x4&pic=fiero.jpg Pretty bitchin!
there used to be a 69 camaro runnin around my hometown! pissed alot of people off but i thought it was awesome!!
That’s about the best thing you could do with one of the stangs from the 80’s.
I always wanted to see a Gremlin on a Susiki chassis.
I always hated the fact that Ford called these little POSs Mustangs, it’s an insult to the mustang line. They should have been called Ford Ponies or even Ford POSs.
Actually, it’s probably a full size Bronco chassis. Those mustangs had a wheelbase of 100.5 inches. The Bronco II had a wheelbase of 94 inches, and the full size Bronco wheelbase was 104 inches. So the full size wheelbase is closer, being only 3.5 inches over while the Bronco II was 6.5 inches shorter. I’ve done a few of these swaps, have a 1950 F-1 on a 96 Bronco chassis right now, shortening the bed up by 11 inches to make it look right.
i want to put a mini cooper on a jeep frame lol
Yor right Bob; shoulda done my homework. A heck of alot easier to take a few inches off than put em on!
Dumb, dumb, dumb. Someone in my old neighborhood had a 1987 Camaro on a Blazer chassis…stupid looking as hell. Hey, if it didnt come from the factory like that, there’s a reason…because it looks DUMB. Keeping things stock is so much better and classier.
YEAH! Keep all vehicles stock! Down with Jegs, Summit racing, JC Whitney, custom shops, and all magazines showing blasphemous images of custom vehicles! Dumb, dumb, dumb is absolutely right, but not about the car above…
I usually don’t like this kind of stuff…but that actually looks pretty fun and cool.
SmallD, taking those few inches out would require cutting and welding the frame back together. The height of the lift and the large size of the tires make it easy to hide a couple of inches of difference, so this chassis was probably not altered. If you look close at the rear wheels, they don’t quite line up with the wheelwells, they sit a little bit back.
