All this time, I thought the length of a person’s arms was determined by their genes. I had no idea that people with shorter arms have them because they’re lazy.

I think this is more of a security thing. This way, the customer can still see their card and the employees can see that it is in fact being swiped and they aren’t be scammed. Plus, sometimes cars are pretty far away from the drive up window, so it was probably a long stretch anyway. If that’s the case, the customer was lazy for not just opening the door and getting out so they were right at the window.

I love it. simple and effective. only thing they might need to add is a bit of padding in case it bumps into the car.

What I love even more is all the comments about being scammed, somehow I don’t think McDonald’s (and whatever this place is) is in the business of stealing credit info and using it to rip people off. If you believe a business is stealing your info, quit buying candy from the back of that black van.
