“I’ve got a trashcan that one of the sides, the hinge piece split and was dangling off from the other side when the guys would come to pick it up.
I took a scrap piece of aluminum to a grinder and attached it to the lid with some screws. Then, I took a wood screw and went through the center of the handle cap and used that as a new pivot point.
Works good as new, and i didn’t have to pay for a new trash can!”
