Muffler Repair

I’m no mechanic but wouldn’t the zip ties get hot and melt?

I’ve done something like this before, but with a pop can and hose clamps.

Also done the pop can and hose clamps, to get thru a night of snowplowing without waking the world…. lol Zipties won’t hold long, especially close to the front. The aluminum can will melt too given enough time with heavy work, melts holes thru where the actual leak is.

The picture is kinda blurry, but Harbor Freight does have metal zip ties.

Need to anneal the can with a torch too if you want it to go on right.
