It makes you wonder whats in the trunk that they have to bungee it shut, any guesses?

    Alot of these Buick Park Avenues had power closing trunks. Eventually the motor, or more likely, the switch fail, which leaves your trunk hanging open an inch or so. Someone probably took the latch out so it would close all the way…. Shy of replacing that (silly option) part, the proper fix is to take it off, manually wind down the mechanism, and reinstall it. It will then close like a normal trunk lid. Easy and less white trash! 😀
