“The city setup some new utility poles near me. In this case, instead of rewiring, they just cut the old pole away! This is not a temporary fix. It has been this way for over two years! Way to go Indianapolis power company!”

Actually those are all Cable TV lines, the power company probably owned the pole and the Cable folks just haven’t taken the time to move their $#!+

As a telecom lineman for 13 years, I can say i have seen this many times, and yes,it is cable tv who hasn’t moved their stuff and removed the old hunk of pole. If phone was still attached, it would have been long gone and phone company would have moved TV and then charged them.
What gets me is the cost for cable, yet they wont spend the money to have their plant system cleaned up.
