Equal Accountability

by DebbieWTR

Paula Deen

Share this if you agree that if Paula Deen is going to be held accountable then we should expect nothing less from Hollywood and from the Music Industry along with Corporations (such as Target and Walmart) who support and sell one but drop the other.

Excellent! I absolutely agree, but we all know the reality is that it’ll never happen. If a black calls another black “niggah,” that’s acceptable and expected. BUT… If a white person dies it, then it’s Sharpton, Jackson and racial lawsuits.

and movies and books too…. but walmart and target do not carry the versions of any music that contain offensive lyrics.

when white people say it, it means something else plain and simple. Don’t know why that’s so confusing. And if the lyrics in songs and what-not bother you so much then protest like black people do and make some noise, sue somebody ….or just sit back and continue to take it. Oh wait, am I on White-trash repairs…but can’t say that if you’re black cause it’s racist right or is that something only whites can say to other whites?

Let’s start by removing from DC, any person (white) who has ever said the N word, followed by every one (BLACK)who ever used the term “cracker” “honkey” or “white bread” Oh my. Where did every one go????
Paula is a southern rased lady who was a single Mom who did NOT depend on welfare, but WORKED and built a business. She deserves much better treatment!!

I could really care less what she says, but you are slow or crazy to believe that this situation is gonna affect Paula Dean in a bad way. This is just thing a celebrity needs when their career is waining and they gotta get back the public eye. Her book sales are through the roof. By starting this campaign, you are really only getting more people to shop at those stores, looking for explicit lyrics. Love that woman’s biscuts,Damn good!

Walmart has the right to sell or not sell any legitimate product, but it would be nice if they were consistent. Just another example of how all speech is free in the US, but some speech is freer than others.

Dumpty….. either the word is SO offensives, or it’s not. But it’s time to stop using it as a club to beat white people over the head with.

When black people call other people the ‘n’ word they are doing what is called ‘re-appropriating’. They use it as a replacement for the word ‘guys’. White people, I’m sorry, but you do not get to take part in this re-appropriation because you were the ones who’ve historically used it to equate blacks to second and third-class citizens while chasing them down with dogs, lighting crosses on their lawns and lynching them. You can cry unfair all you want, but it is not an unreasonable bit of unfairness given that history.

The sexism thing, yeah, I agree, that’s a problem, and it’s not just limited to hip-hop or black culture.

If people actually look into the facts there’s a whole court case against Paula Deen and her family about racism, sexism, battery, emotional distress against employees. Paula Deen didn’t get fired for using the n word years ago.

    Here’s the case:

But the term WHITE TRASH is okay?

    Excuse me?

I am as white and left as any socially aware liberal, BUT that term was DEAD and BURIED decades ago. I was as glad as everyone else that that piece of antiquated, derogatory history was in oblivion…

Then, the gangstas and wangstas decided it would be cool to dig it up and shout it out. UNCOOL! Destructive behavior apparently only for the shock effect… UNCOOL…

What do u say now, MY Ni99a?!!!
