Homemade Pool Cover (4 pics)

by DebbieWTR
November 1, 2012

“I started with a smaller pool, and as I moved to a larger one, parts of it came underneath some trees. I got tired of all the rain, and junk getting in there, so I built this cover for it. Took a couple years to figure it all out, how to actually fab the parts. Taller than I wanted, but works wonders (so far!) The idea is, in summer, the whole thing can be raised up for a sun shield. And in winter or bad weather, drop it down to cover it up. The zip-ties tie it down for the winter. I’ll put a better tarp on it in the spring. Maybe make a few adjustments to it.“

I wish I had thought of that back when I had a pool.
