Ladder Car

So how do you transport a ladder with a car?  I’m thinking a red flag is missing on the end.

I just transported a 24′ extension ladder 15 miles home on the top of a Scion xA. Positioned properly the ends only stuck out a foot from the ends of the car. I had a blanket around it and used ratchet straps through the doors. (tied with the doors opened then closed, cuz it was rainin’)
It didn’t move an inch. 😀
