We went on plenty of long trips when I was a kid, and we survived them all with reading, coloring, or looking out the window. I don’t plan to ever own a car DVD player.

Ditto the above sentiments. The kids are going to be warped brought up on constantly watching TV/movies. There was one show, from mexico I think. Man, the camera NEVER stood still much. It gave me a headache watching it. But the kids can’t sit still, when NOT watching it. They expect life to move all the time like that camera.
