Mix-N-Match Chevy (2 pics)

The submitter wrote: “Name’s Will. This one here is my personal truck. It’s an ’88 Chevy with multiple year parts. Cab, doors, and left front fender are original. Hood is from a different ’88, bed is from a ’94, right front fender is from a ’92, and the wheels are from a 2000. It’s a mix-n-match redneck truck, but it’s my baby. I guess you could say I’m more redneck than white trash, but I think this one fits. Location is Fairview, Missouri.”

Good for him, not wasting money on a payment every month for a new rig. Also, think of the savings on registration and he only needs basic liability insurance per state law, if it gets hit, a trip to the junkyard, everything in OK. An 88 is easy to work on, and gets as good of mileage as a new truck. Many would laugh, and Will laughs all the way to the bank!

@ JH, that’s basically how it works lol. That Mix N Match Chevy has been reliable for 3 years now, and has never left me in a hole. Sad to say though, it’s about to become non-existant, as it’s going to become a sacrificial lamb for my new project. But the interior, motor and trans, frame, and half of the cab will be used in my new project. As will the front clip and doors. I’m using the ’88 to rebuild a ’94 Suburban, then turn around and make the Suburban a 4-door pickup.

Not for sale, ever. It’s actually staying in one piece as I got another parts truck. This was the first truck I ever put on the road. I’m not selling it as long as I’m alive, sorry.

It’s camo… scrap yard camo that is 😉
That’s what I’ve always said of my miss-matched vehicle that I have owned.
