    I did the same thing except I use an old 1 quart oil bottle as a funnel and an old gas additive bottle as a gas additive funnel and an old 2 liter coke bottle as a kitchen funnel. 😉 🙂 😀 😛

    I found that a wide mouth margarita mix bottle has the same threads as my oil cap. I screw it in and never worry out it falling over.

    I think this is almost a Car repair standard. By using something like a coke bottle or a juice bottle you dont have the oil covered plastic funnel sitting in the trunk. Use it once then toss it. I keep basic tools (Socket set and screw driver) Jumper cables, two quarts of oil and gallon coolant and a gallon of winshield washer fluid in the car. I’ve helped myself out of a few jams and more than a few other folks.
