“Found in the parking lot of a prestigious private university in the Detroit area. Going to the school costs $40K so i guess they couldn’t afford bodywork!”
Um, “doesntsufferfools?” That’s a Dodge Caliber, not an Avenger.
You can say the Avenger is a bad car, but I’ve had mine for over 3-1/2 years now and it has never been in the shop. It’s been solid and reliable. But, since you can’t tell the difference between a Caliber and an Avenger front end, your ignorance is already obvious.

I’d call that creative, and it doesn’t look too bad.. it’s not something I would do, but I have full coverage insurance with a tiny deductible 🙂

It isn’t really a bad repair job, a little touch-up paint and the fasteners would hardly be noticed.

Looks like its about mid repair.

It’s rather neatly done. Looks incomplete. the rivets look like they were countersunk and filler already on top of them and smooth with the surface. This is just a little paint away from being to where most people wouldn’t notice it.

Are you sure it didn’t come that way from the Chrysler plant?

It doesn’t look that bad. Students these days are thousands of dollars in debt and can’t even get a job (or a decent one) to pay it off. Fixing a little fender bender (this car obviously wasn’t totalled) was probably low on the priority list.

Perhaps this a “rivet it together for now so I don’t have to tell daddy right away” kludge.

Why do bodywork on a shitty Dodge Avenger anyway?
