A 7-year-old Maryland boy has been suspended from school after biting his Pop-Tart into what looked like a gun. The NRA gives the boy a lifetime membership for his mad eating poptart skills. Thoughts?

I see the kid has been watching TV. It seems okay for all our favorite actors to wield deadly weapons against people. Interesting that while TV seems to be great for establishing the norm for American society the educational system wants to try to send a different message. I just keep thinking:
“Hey, kid, watch where you point that pop tart. That thing is fattening and you could make someone hungry. You don’t see any overweight TV stars, do you?”

This zero-tolerance stuff has gone way too far. The NRA should pick a day for every kid to come to school with food shaped like a gun, and dare every school to expel every kid. I’d have my kids participate.
Well will you look at that….the incident took place in Maryland! That is an ANTI-GUN STATE to begin with. KUDOS to the NRA for backing this kid. PROTECT YOUR 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS! Don’t forget the 1st, 3rd and 4th Amendments too.
I think schools are run by a bunch of f#cking morons anymore who have absolutely no common sense.
I love it when a liberal is the victim of a crime that could have been prevented by simply having a gun.
This country has gone completely off the rails in both directions: grade schools who suspend a little kid for a Pop Tart “gun”, and the NRA for giving a 7 year old a lifetime membership.
The NRA didn’t need to make a further spectacle of the kid but for the love of God…We’ve vilified an inanimate object to the point where kids can’t even goof around without people acting like a hail of bullets will manifest from the very though of it.
Howbaout some safety and awareness courses instead of acting like guns are satan?

Everyone involved with that incident at the school is an idiot and they know they are idiots or they wouldn’t have dressed up the parental notice with all that vague “spin” about inappropriate gestures. Nor would they have cited “privacy” when they refused to talk to the press when the persecuted child talked to the press.
It’s only going to get worse.
