Air bag – that’s what I was thinking. People aren’t informed that air bags actually cause damage when triggered (it’s considered okay because it’s “less damage” than you’d get otherwise). But that phone blowing into your face or throat, geesh.
Duct tape on the back will stop the nose dive. ANOTHER use for duct tape!
