That would work pretty good. Chains on doors are worthless, deadbolts break right out of the frame with a good kick. With this set up you’d have to completely demolish the door to get in.
Besides, something tells me this is a rental and this is meant to keep the landlord from using their keys to just walk in whenever they feel like it.
