Waterproof Camera

Well that is one way to protect the camera.  I’ve never tried this but I’m curious as to how well it works.  Have you ever tried to do this?

This might work in the rain for a short time. May interfere with the zoom lens.

    And the focus.
Ever try to take a shower with a cast on? No matter what you do, the dang thing gets wet. This would not work for more than a few minutes in the rain. I wouldn’t trust it with a nice camera anyway.

I can’t tell which camera it is, if it’s a 5D or 7D then it should be pretty water resistant anyway.
Maybe it’s wrapped up against some other harsh condition like sand or dust.
I’d want to protect a high end camera and a $700 lens any way I could!

Makes as much sense as your grandfather wearing a condom; why waste all that wrapping on a POS camera like that?

And this is rated for what depth?

when we were searching for a missing ladies body we put our can corder in a 2 gallon zip lock, pulled plastic tight over the lens and lowered it into several, wells , septic tanks, cisterns and other holes , worked great
