Oh yeah Bubba…sexy red van with a A/C unit in the back. That’s right when your entertaining the lady folks you don’t want to get all hot and sweaty. When the van’s a rockin’ don’t come a knocking!
Thats actually not that bad, almost looks professionally done. I’ve seen some real duct-tape jobs that look much worse.
My uncle transformed an old school bus into a “hippie wagon” 40 years ago, complete with a window A/C unit bolted in place with welded brackets underneath, custom-formed gaskets, a 60-amp breaker panel inside, camper-style Twist-Lok AC inlet, and an audio system that would rival the Cadillac Escalade “ghetto blasters” of today. All that plus an expertly-airbrushed mural on the exterior and full caming amenities (decorated in psychedelic fabric patterns) inside. That’s how the rich kids of the hippie era amused themselves, making luxury Conversion Vans out of old school buses. We’ve always been a prominent famy around here. The daughter of the Fire Chief back then almost became my aunt, and my late wife was the granddaughter of a former Mayor.
This is not “White Trash” at all. This guy probably makes $30 an hour in Skilled Trades and built a “second” camper and gesture of respect for the privacy of his 18-year-old so the kid would agree to keep going on “family” camping outings.
