This has to be the cleanest kludge for this sort of thing I’ve seen.

I work at a drive-thru — they don’t remove the wood wedge, they just open the car door, bang the side of the building, and then place their orders.

actually, she probably has a popped window regulator, its the part that adjusts the height of the window and when it breaks or “pops” the window usually will go down slowly, the wood is to jam the window so it doesnt go down, typical 2-3 day fix from an autobody so you can drive while the new part comes in
