What is the point of this photo? Somebody has taken down, or not yet put up the drop in ceiling? So what? Or is it that they used duct tape on the DUCTS? Why do you think it is called DUCT tape?

highly unlikely a drop ceiling would be used in this application. Whats more bazaar is the sizing change from the approx 4in pipe feeding out of the wall to the approx 6in pipe the vent cover is attached to as well as the coaxial cable being attached to the vent piping.
