Or you could have just gone to the local junk yard or checked eBay and bought a new one… OP probably spent more on duct tape and zip ties than a new mirror would have cost.

Reminds me of when I put my foot down wrong when pulling off the road on the Tail of the Dragon, fell, cracked the right side mirror bade and used duct tape and silicone to hold the mirror on until I could replace it.
