I hate to admit it, but I once had a window repair very similar to that. Couldn’t get the driver’s window up or down for anything. I took it to the garage “to have the motor fixed” and the mechanic pointed out that I had accidentally hit the “child safety” button. So simple a child could have fixed it – if I had one around!
